IS3R Membership Fee – Terms and Conditions
1. Membership with the IS3R
1.1 Any natural or legal person who plays an active leadership role in education, science and research in the field of radiology may become a member of the society. Nomination has to be sponsored by at least two active members of the society and submitted to the Chair of the Membership and Nomination Committee. The Executive Board takes the final decision on the admission of active and extraordinary members. Admission can be denied without stating reasons.
1.2 The membership categories, rights and duties of society members, acquisition procedures and termination of membership are governed by articles 4, 5, 6, and 7 of the society’s bylaws.
2. Membership Fee
2.1 Each person or entity who becomes a member of IS3R will be required to pay a Membership Fee in an amount established by the IS3R, unless otherwise determined by the IS3R. The IS3R reserves the right in its discretion to change the amount of the Membership Fee for memberships in any given category from time to time. The amount of the Membership Fee is determined by the General Assembly.
2.2 Membership Fees paid by Members are not refundable under any circumstances, unless otherwise expressly provided herein.
2.3 As IS3R is a registered Austrian non-profit organization, the Society does not charge VAT and IS3R has no VAT number.
3. Payment Period and Rates
3.1 Active Members
3.1.1 The payment period is based on a two-year cycle with dues payable in full during the first year or in two equal installments. The first installment for the membership dues is due by 31 May of the first year of the 2-year membership cycle. The second installment is due on 31 May of the second year of the 2-year membership cycle (2020-2021, 2022-2023, 2024-2025, etc.).
3.1.2 As decided by the IS3R General Assembly, the dues for the 2020-2021 cycle amount to €500. Payment of the dues for the full cycle is a requirement for participation in the society’s biennial symposia.
3.1.3 Unless otherwise announced in writing to the Executive Board at least one month prior the end of the calendar year, memberships are automatically renewed.
3.2 Extraordinary Members: Corporations
3.2.1 The payment period is based on a two-year cycle (2020-2021, 2022-2023, 2024-2025, etc.) with dues payable in full during the first year or in two equal installments. The first installment for the membership dues is due by 31 March of the first year of the 2-year membership cycle . The second installment is due on 31 May of the second year of the 2-year membership cycle.
3.2.2 The membership tiers for corporate partners are Platinum, Gold, and Silver. The dues for the 2-year membership for corporate partners are as follows:

Payment of the dues for the full cycle is a requirement for participation in the society’s biennial symposia.
3.2.3 Unless otherwise announced in writing to the Executive Board at least one month prior the end of the calendar year, memberships are automatically renewed.
4. Methods of Payment
4.1 Active Members
4.1.1 Membership dues may be paid by a credit or debit card online in the members’ area on the IS3R website.
4.1.2 All credit card payments will be collected in Euro.
4.1.3 The IS3R uses the payment processing and validating service provided by Six Payment Services (Austria) GmbH and Wirecard Central Eastern Europe GmbH, so the credit or debit card used must be acceptable to this service. IS3R can accept no responsibility for any of the actions of Six Payment Services (Austria) GmbH and Wirecard Central Eastern Europe GmbH.
4.1.4 Members wishing to pay by wire transfer should contact the IS3R office (office@is3r.org) for details.
4.2 Extraordinary Members: Corporations
4.2.1 Membership dues are payable by invoice.
4.2.2 Invoices are issued in Euro and only transmitted electronically, unless otherwise determined by the IS3R.
5. Changes to Terms and Conditions
The IS3R reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice.
6. Right of Withdrawal
A member has the right to cancel a contract concluded in the online shop within 14 days without giving reasons. To exercise their right of cancellation, they must inform the IS3R (office@is3r.org) by means of an unmistakable declaration of their decision to cancel a contract concluded in the online shop. The IS3R will refund all payments received from the member without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the date on which the notice of cancellation of the contract by the member is received by the IS3R. The repayment will, unless otherwise explicitly agreed with the member, be made by the IS3R using the same payment method as was used for the original transaction; under no circumstances will the member be charged a fee for this repayment.
7. Consequences of Cancellation
If a member cancels a contract concluded in the online shop, he must contact the IS3R office (office@is3r.org) to agree on another method of payment for the membership dues. Failure to pay the membership dues may result in cancellation of the active membership by the IS3R Executive Board (cf. Sections 4.4 and 6 of the IS3R bylaws). According to the IS3R bylaws, a voluntary withdrawal of membership is possible at any time and must be announced in writing to the Executive Board at least one month prior the end of the calendar year. If the notification is delayed, it will only become effective with the next following term of withdrawal.
8. Data protection
To process the payment of membership fees, members are required to submit personal information specific to the payment, such as but not limited to credit card numbers. This is in addition to the personal data collected in relation to their society membership and activities (i.e. name, profession, contact details). The IS3R treats members’ personal details in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679. If the IS3R wishes to collect and use data in any other way, the society will ask members’ express permission at the point of collection.
